A top public university must be accessible to everyone. Amir believes every campus and every student deserves equal respect, resources, and representation — regardless of zip code, income, or background.
affordability without compromise.
Higher education should open doors, not create lifelong debt. Amir is committed to protecting affordability and expanding access across all three University of Michigan campuses: Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint.
academic freedom & free expression.
Universities must be places where truth is pursued — not avoided or suppressed. Amir is outspoken in defending free speech and academic freedom, including the right of students and faculty to speak out against injustice without fear of retaliation or surveillance.
accountability in leadership.
Public trust requires transparency. Amir will push for ethical governance, responsible decision-making, and an end to intimidation tactics that undermine the university’s public mission.
